Vegas Ball Bonanza Overview

Variations of bingo have been around for hundreds of years, but in the modern world, they’re mostly divided into 75-ball American bingo and 90-ball British bingo. Both are about matching randomly drawn numbers to numbers on a card and trying to complete all the lines.

In 2023, Pragmatic Play announced Vegas Ball Bonanza, a new live casino version with extra multipliers and two types of bonus ball.

This isn’t bingo in your local village hall. The red and gold setting of Vegas Ball Bonanza is flashy and bold (some say tacky), suitable for a casino in Vegas or even a TV show, complete with a glamourous caller. How to Play Vegas Ball Bonanza

There’s a 12-second window during which you can make your wager and choose the 9 cards that you want. The cards will turn to reveal their numbers, and you can refresh them if you’d prefer a different set of 9, but remember that you’re on the clock. Once you’re out of time, your bet and numbers both lock into place.

Wait for the lucky number multipliers

Before the balls are drawn, lucky numbers have to be chosen. This is where the slot machine with its single row comes into play. Its results are all determined by a random number generator. Numbers can be between 1 and 5 while multipliers can be between x2 and x50, and the slot decides both of them. You’ll see any corresponding numbers on your cards highlighted until the round ends.

Watch the balls being drawn

Another automated process is modelled on real-world bingo, where all the balls are bounced around a machine until a tube sucks one up with the aid of a vacuum and compressed air. Once the ball has landed in the hopper, its number will be clearly displayed, then marked off on your own cards if available. Wild balls will lead to another 1 to 4 balls being drawn, and star balls will activate all your cards’ visible multipliers.

How to win

Like regular bingo, the idea is to mark off as many numbers on your card as possible. Every time you complete a line, whether horizontal or vertical, you receive a payout. The more completed lines you get, the higher your rewards could be. The top prize comes when every number is marked, which is known as a full house.

Special Features

There are a few special features available in Vegas Ball Bonanza to help boost your winning potential:

Wild Ball

The wild ball can be drawn like the regular numbered balls, but instead of giving you a number, the 10-segment bonus wheel will immediately be spun. It can land on a 1, 2, 3 or 4, which represents the number of extra balls that will then join the main draw.

It doesn’t mean you’ll definitely complete a line, let alone achieve a full house, but having 13 balls instead of 9 does improve your chances. The main draw will continue as soon as the wild draw ends.

Star Ball

Remember those multipliers that were chosen earlier? When the star ball is drawn from the machine, it causes all those multipliers to become active. Every card with an active multiplier sees its payouts boosted. You can even combine more than one multiplier together for an even bigger prize.

Betting Options

With no side bets for Vegas Ball Bonanza, the only decision to make is how much you want your initial stake to be and how many cards you want to buy. More cards mean more chances, but also a higher upfront cost. The maximum number of cards is 9. Betting starts at 0.10.

Payouts

You receive a payout for every horizontal or vertical line you complete, with the amount increasing each time:

• 1 line: 1:1
• 2 lines: 5:1
• 3 lines: 20:1
• 4 lines: 60:1
• 5 lines/full house: 250:1

Your payouts can also increase if you have active multipliers. Individual multipliers are worth between x2 and x50, but the maximum combined multiplier for 1 ticket is x20,000.

Optimal Strategy

Bingo doesn’t come with a whole lot of strategy. Even among all those other games of chance, there are very few ways to influence the outcomes. The numbers on your cards are assigned at random, as are the multipliers and the balls in the draw, so the only control you have is over the size of your bet and how many of the 9 available cards you use. Just remember the rules of responsible gaming, including budgeting, limits, and timeout or self-exclusion features.

Game Controls

1. You’ll find a question mark button in the top right corner. This is where you can familiarise yourself with the rules and features of the game.
2. Also in this top corner, you’ll find the speaker to adjust the sound and the gear for other settings. Adjust anything you want tweaked.
3. Your current bet is displayed at the bottom centre of the screen and can be modified with the arrows. This should be done with consideration for your overall balance, as shown in the bottom left corner.
4. That bottom corner will also display potential payouts.
5. Just over your bet are the nine potential cards. They start face down but are then flipped to reveal their numbers. Numbers are random.
6. Remember that the slot machine is for deciding multipliers before you play; the bonus wheel adds extra balls if you trigger the wild bonus.
7. All that’s left is to set the machine to churn and wait for the Pragmatic Play live dealer to call the balls.
