Introduction

Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack

The reels are set in a colourful wooden box that has been painted with glowing blue flame patterns. They're contrasted by the pink and yellow scalloped edges that surround the reels. Above them, the jackpot amount is framed by bones and skulls and finished off with a colourful crest in yellows, oranges, greens, pinks and blues. The majority of the symbols are recognisable from classic slot machines, with only the Ghost Pepper symbol and Multiplier Wilds deviating from the norm. As would be expected with this classic theme, there's no background soundtrack and the winning animations are simple and short, but the musical sounds that play with each spin of the reels change from one round to the next, and that adds a nice touch.

How to Play Ghost Pepper

1. Once the game fully loads with the DWG logo, you'll be taken straight to the reels. 
2. Before you start, touch the menu button, which provides controls to toggle the sound and music on or off. The menu includes the Play History, which allows you to select and see a replay of any of the 10 previous spins. To exit your selected replay, touch the X button and then touch anywhere on the screen to return to the reels. The paytable and game rules, including features and payline information, can also be found in the menu.
3. Adjust your bet by touching the + or - buttons above and below the bet amount. 
4. To use Autoplay, touch the blue Autoplay button. You have a choice of 10, 25, 50 or 100 automatic spins. Choose the number of spins you'd like to play automatically and you'll be presented with further options to adjust your bet and loss and win limits. While Autoplay is in progress, you can stop it at any time by pressing the stop button. Keep an eye on your balance during Autoplay and be ready to stop before you need to.

Ghost Pepper Multiplier Wilds

Ghost Pepper features 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x and 10x Multiplier Wilds. They appear on Reel 3 only and substitute for any symbol that lands on the other two reels. If the Multiplier substitutes for a two of a kind or three of a kind win, the line win will be multiplied by the multiplier number on the Wild.

Ghost Pepper Review

Design Works Gaming have come up with a simple but entertaining video slot based on a classic game. Its big, bold reel symbols and detailed colourful surround are attractive to look at, and the sounds are varied enough not to become too repetitive. Although the variance on this slot is unknown, we found that wins seemed to come in more on the small but frequent side, and it was great to see single symbols triggering payouts on this paytable. The largest win we had on our short test run was two triple Bars and a 5x multiplier giving us a 20x win. Autoplay has a setting for stopping on a progressive jackpot win, but the progressive jackpot wasn't enabled during our review.
