The Man Who Fell To Earth

Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American who first worked with, then competed against, Thomas Edison. He is best known for his work on electricity and for having ideas that were decades - if not centuries - ahead of their time. David Bowie played him in the film “The Prestige”. GameArt’s slot is based on Tesla’s work with electricity. The graphics are pin-sharp and the animation is cracking. The background screen shows a workshop or laboratory with a silver cage and various electrical devices. The reels are blueprints for an electric generator. It’s a five-reel game with the maximum of 243 ways to win. You choose the amount that you would like to wager on each spin and away you go!

Electric Reels

The lowest-paying symbols in this game are the familiar playing card symbols, 9 through Ace. Three 9s will multiply your initial stake by 15, and this rises steadily as more symbols appear and those symbols increase in value. Five Aces, for example, are worth 100 times your initial wager. The next set of symbols are more interesting. They represent Tesla, his life and career. There’s a Light Bulb, some Notebooks, the Tesla Museum (lit by electricity), and Electric Tower and Nikola Tesla himself. The winnings available when these symbols hit the mark are much more generous. Three Light Bulbs are worth 50 times your initial stake, and if Tesla puts in an appearance, then the winnings are shocking: you can win 1,000 times your initial bet if you have five of the great man!

A Bright Spark

The Tesla Coils are the Wild symbol. If they appear on a payline, they will substitute for any other symbol. There are also the special symbols of the Tesla Coils and the Induction Motor. The Induction Motor, or Scatter symbol, will pay out anywhere on adjacent reels; it doesn’t have to be on a payline. Three or more will also trigger the Free Spins Bonus game. When you get a Free Spins Bonus, you also get the choice of three possible games: 30 spins with a low maximum multiplier, 15 spins with a medium maximum multiplier, or 10 spins with a high maximum multiplier. It’s your call! During the free spins, the Light Bulb symbol becomes important. If it appears on reels 1 or 5, it will award you a random prize of between two and 20 times your line bet.
