Leaving the Past Behind

Avoid Birds! if you like to see the traditional symbols such as the playing cards on your reels. There’s no room for old-fashioned icons in this game, as ten different colourful birds take the place of the cards, bells and cherries. Each of the animated avian buddies has different coloured plumage and its own unique personality. The game does have a wild, but don’t expect to see the usual game logo symbol. Instead, the icon to look for is a multi-tonal wild bird. But there's no need to worry, as it will still function in a traditional way and substitute for other symbols in the game to help you create winning combinations.

If this all sounds terribly modern and innovative, then you haven’t heard anything yet. Birds! may have a 5x3 reel set-up but there’s no spinning at all in the game. Instead of pressing spin and watching the reels roll, you’ll see the game’s 15 feathered friends flying in and taking their position on the powerlines. Of course, this isn’t the first time that a slot has adopted this technique. Thunderkick’s Bird on a Wire is similarly quirky, but it’s certainly not a style you see all the time.

Entertaining Escapism

Landing either vertical or horizontal matching combinations of birds can net you a nice prize pot. Once wins line up, the winning birds fly away and the birds above fall down in a similar way to how the avalanche feature works in the likes of Gonzo’s Quest works.
