Birds of a Feather
In Birdz by GW Games the board design is the best we've seen. Two masts support three rows of wires where the birds perch precariously. You can bet a minimum of 0.30 coins and a maximum of 150. The reels don't spin. Instead, the birds fly away and appear in new combinations. All of the basic symbols are birds paying varying amounts depending on how many combinations fly on to the reels. The red, yellow, brown and green birds pay a maximum of 120 coins. A bluebird will give you 180, with the orange giving you 240 coins. A purple bird pays out 600, and the blackbird pays the highest amount at 1200. Sitting quietly, waiting to hatch, is the Wild Egg. It substitutes for all other symbols and helps you soar to winning combinations.
Take Flight
It's rare to find two bonus features that are created so well in a slot game. In this one, you'll have six. Each of the bonuses is entertaining and will get you a lot of coins. Bird Blitz is activated at any time after a non-winning game. Birds will keep flying in and out of the reels until winning combinations are formed. The shotgun bonus will eliminate a bird from the first three reels. In the shotgun X2 bonus, this happens twice. The symbols will be replaced to form a win.
The Zap bonus will give some big wins. A wire will be electrocuted, and the birds will disappear. New birds will fill the wire, and it's always the wire with the least wilds that gets zapped. The pecking order will take the three low-paying symbols and replace them with higher amounts. A scarecrow will do its job and scare all the birds away. New birds and symbols will take their place.
