Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack

This is a mix of a humour and animal themed slot, featuring colourful critters and an air of British humour. As we’ve already seen, the backdrop is a moving cityscape in front of a car’s windscreen. The graphics are quite simple and cartoonish in style but contemporary and colourful. 

Symbols animate for wins, such as the bees spinning in circles for a comical effect. An quirky soundtrack accompanies gameplay to give the slot a strange kind of creepy twist. The combination of aesthetics and sound here makes this a very distinctive slot.

Six or seven matching bugs in any position trigger the Bug Boost feature. Each bug involved in the winning combo will show either a multiplier or win value. Selecting a non-splattered creature will either increase the win multiplier/value or just splat the bug. During the round, the following multipliers are possible: x2, x3, x5, x10, x20 and x25. 

Cash Bug Review : Overall

There’s no denying that this slot gets points for humour and novelty. It’s well made with quality graphics and straightforward gameplay.

We like that wins are paid regardless of the symbol position on the reels to make it feel, at least in theory, easier to score winning combinations. We also like the ability for random upgrades from four to five of a kind, then five up to six or seven of a kind, adding some suspense as to whether you’ll get a pay boost by triggering the bonus feature. 

Fans of free spins may be disappointed given the lack of them in this slot, and the Bug Boost feature may not be enough to really shake up this game. Nonetheless, the potential multipliers here up to x25 could be nicely rewarding, and we do like the appealing 97.06% RTP. 

While it’s medium to high volatility, casual players will appreciate the low starting stake and higher rollers may find some of the prizes tempting, though it may not be a slot for the more serious slot enthusiasts. This is designed to be a fun slot with some decent prizes underneath the hood, but it may not have the longevity of gameplay compared to its competition in the e-gaming arena.
