There are few things as exciting in life as the release of a new NetEnt slots game. We’ve come to associate the software giant with thrilling and immersive slots games such as Gonzo’s Quest, Flowers, and Finn and the Swirly Spin, so when we heard that Temple of Nudges was being launched, we were absolutely beside ourselves with delight!

Why you’ll love Temple of Nudges

Gonzo’s Quest is one of the best-known and best-loved online slots games currently available, and Temple of Nudges promises to deliver up more of the same, albeit with a few unique twists. You won’t find Wilds and Scatters across the reels, which may seem slightly disappointing at first, but there’s no need to worry. Temple of Nudges has a gimmick. In this game, it really is all about the Nudges, which have the potential to boost your prize pot to ever-increasing heights. You’ll also discover:

- NetEnt’s trademark graphics, which perfectly capture the South American theme
- A haunting soundtrack, complete with animal noises and lyrical pan pipes that set the mood
- An innovative Nudge feature that capitalises on every win
- Random Respins with locked symbols that can deliver some impressive cash rewards
- 243 Ways To Win
- Stacked Symbols

Our first impression of Temple of Nudges

Temple of Nudges has a similar feeling to Gonzo’s Quest, at least in its choice of theme, although the gameplay seems to be much more basic. Of course, that’s a criticism; sometimes a relaxing session spinning the reels is what’s called for!

As we’ve come to expect from NetEnt offerings, great attention has been paid to every little detail of the game, including the soundtrack, which combines jungle sounds with orchestral melodies for a highly pleasing soundscape. The attention to detail continues through to the graphics too, which are perfectly in keeping with the game’s overall theme.

The playing area takes place against a stone temple, which is ornately decorated with a pair of sinuous stone snakes. In a nice touch, Big Wins are heralded by coins fountaining out of the mouth of one of the snakes, but there are other, subtle animations throughout the game. For example, leaves in the foreground gently sway in the breeze, and like all NetEnt games, there’s a highly satisfying clunking sound as the reels fall into place. It’s as if they’re actually made from real stone!

No matter how great an online slots game looks and sounds, it all comes down to the gameplay in the end. We have to report that Temple of Nudges certainly didn’t disappoint, despite the lack of a Wild and Scatters. In fact, we were so captivated by the game that we almost failed to notice the lack of such symbols because the Nudge feature more than made up for them.

The Nudge comes into play following every win at the reels of Temple of Nudges. Once the win has been calculated and added to the player’s balance, the reels nudge down one row, potentially revealing yet more winning lines. The feature continues for as long as winning combinations continue to appear, so if your luck is in, you could benefit from some highly impressive cash prizes.

How to play Temple of Nudges

NetEnt want players to be able to enjoy their games without having to spend ages discovering how to play them. That's why you’ll find the gameplay of Temple of Nudges quite easy to get to grips with, even if you haven’t previously played any online slots games. Best of all, NetEnt understand the needs of players, ensuring that every game is accessible across all devices, so you’ll find that Temple of Nudges displays perfectly on your mobile and tablet, as well as on your PC or Mac.

With 243 Ways To Win always active, there’s no need to waste any time considering how many paylines to include, so your only decision needs to be how much to wager for each spin of the reels. You need to land matching symbols on adjacent reels, starting from the reel furthest to the left of the playing area, to achieve a win. Since stacked symbols regularly occur across the reels, this isn’t as hard as you might expect.

The coin value for playing Temple of Nudges starts at 0.01 and goes up to 1.00. There are 10 betting levels to choose from, so your wager could vary between 0.25 up to 250.00 per spin, meaning there’s certainly plenty of choice.

The symbols on the reels all represent animals that can be found in South America, so you’ll find panthers, sloths, armadillos and monkeys, all offering cash rewards for matching three of more symbols. There are also some less-valuable symbols, represented by Aztec-style drawings of a temple and a snake, amongst other things.

Winning lines result in a Nudge, which continues until no more wins are revealed. There’s also a Respin feature, which is randomly triggered after any winning combination. A Respin logo appears next to one of the symbols on the reels, and all matching symbols are frozen in place throughout the Respin, which once again offers the potential for some impressive cash prizes.
