A golden snake winds around the jackpot totals and paylines are indicated with more stone tablets. These are small touches that make a big difference. The music, too, is detailed and impressive. The soundtrack is winding and sinuous, composed of gently picked strings and distant chants.

Cleopatra's Code sits on the borderline between medium and high volatility. Its RTP is 95.33%. The maximum win is fixed at a disappointing x1615m but don’t be fooled. Just because that total is small doesn’t mean it will be easy to win.

Magic numbers

Magical numbers will sometimes appear during the base game. These always correspond to the numbers displayed on the bingo grid. Our Verdict

We certainly weren’t expecting an experience this original when we launched Cleopatra's Code. What initially seems like just another Egyptian game turns out to be something quite special, with a brilliant and unique take on slot mechanics.

The bingo grid makes all the difference. It gives every spin a feeling of momentum and purpose. Symbols are collected, so Cleopatra's Code has a sense of progress rather than simply being a series of unconnected, single rounds. 

Free spins would have brightened proceedings still further, but it’s hard to ask for more with such a fantastic bonus already on offer. Cleopatra's Code changes the way you play, and it certainly changed our expectations of what developers can do with tried and tested themes.
