How to Win

Titanways is a new mechanic coined by Fantasma Games. It takes place on a 6x6 grid and symbols can land in different sizes: 1x1, 1x2, 1x3, 2x2 and 3x3.

In order to land wins, you have to land three or more matching symbols on adjacent reels. When you land a match, the symbols involved disappear and new symbols fall into their places. If a smaller symbol lands underneath a larger symbol on the avalanche, then the smaller symbol is crushed which can help to make more wins. 

It sounds simple enough, while presenting players with a new way to play online slots. Seeing the different sizes of symbols all at once makes for interesting gameplay in a slot that really doesn’t look like any other games out there.

Wild Haunt Feature

The Wild Haunt Feature is triggered when a Ghost King symbol appears on the reels. When this happens, one random large symbol is broken down into smaller symbols to help them pay out more. There is even the chance for them to turn into wilds.

Free Spins Round

When you land three scatters on the reels, you’ll trigger the Phantom Free Spins round. A multiplier is added to the top of the screen – which increases every time a cascade occurs. This is a sticky multiplier, so it doesn’t reset in between wins. The Wild Haunt Feature can also be activated during this bonus.

Overall Review

We like that Fantasma is doing something a little different, rather than releasing yet another Megaways game. Of course, Flower Fortune Megaways and Medallion Megaways from Fantasma are actually some of our favourites from this studio – but, it’s nice to see a developer branching out.

That being said, Golden Castle Titanways does leave something to be desired. The slot would definitely benefit from some more interesting base game features, as the Wild Haunt doesn’t come around very often and the main wins are quite infrequent. So, it just feels like a bit of a grind until you land the free spins round.

One addition that would really improve the gameplay is if there were something else to the free spins round. The increasing multiplier feature has been done to death in Megaways games and, if there were something else on top, the free spins round could really stand out in this game.

There is lots of potential for this mechanic, though. We can see many more Titanways slots being released in the future, as the gameplay is fun and unique. We’re excited to see more Titanways games, as there is lots that Fantasma can do with this mechanic to create exciting experiences for slots fans.
