If you prefer a streamlined visual experience, you are in luck. There is very little going on beyond the reels - just a dark background with a hint of purple. Our verdict

Booongo’s website states that it is a slot enthusiast that likes to push boundaries with innovative gameplay and exciting features. It also claims to develop premium HTML5 games using stunning art and cutting-edge gameplay to attract and retain players.

It is difficult not to take issue with almost every part of this statement. The only even slightly remarkable element in this game is the fact that the bet lines pay out in both directions. There is certainly no boundary-pushing or innovative gameplay from whatever perspective you look at the game.

There are also no features unless you are generous and class the scatter symbol as a feature. Booongo apparently offers a level of customisation, so it is to be hoped that potential vendors make good use of this option and ask for some features. It has to said that many of the plaudits for Booongo center on the ‘backend integration’ of its titles, which it seems has been flawlessly executed to the detriment of the user experience.

Jewel themed slots inspire obvious comparisons to match three-type games, and it would usually be the case that the slot would come out on top.

Is this the worst house on a good block? Did Three Gems miss out on all the features that Booongo’s other titles gained? It is hard to say, as Three Gems is the title we have in front of us and we can only judge Booongo on this rather than its other offerings.
