Introduction
There’s nothing quite like a mythology slot to take you away from the worries and cares of real life. Greek mythology, in particular, is always guaranteed to provide plenty of action and adventure, along with a few thrills and spills too. Squabbling gods and goddesses make for some great slots action, as we’ve already discovered from playing Gods of Olympus, Shadow of Olympus and the popular Rise of Olympus slot. And so with GameArt already having quite a reputation for superb graphics and gameplay, we were intrigued to explore this latest release.
Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack
It took just a few seconds longer than usual for Dawn of Olympus to load up, but once the game launched we realised it had been well worth the wait. The lush background verges on photo-realism, with vines surrounding elegant marble statues and columns which support an elaborately carved stone framework for the reels.
Against a dark background colourful jewel-bright playing card icons stand out, surrounded by golden frames. They’re joined by four Greek gods and goddesses - Chronos, Gaia, Athena and Zeus himself. Trigger the Free Spins Bonus round and Atlas rises up holding the world on his shoulders, which scrolls through game symbols to select the Special Expanding Symbol. And all of this action is accompanied by a haunting and slightly eerie soundtrack which really draws you in.
Dawn of Olympus RTP and Variance
The RTP of 96.13% is very good, suggesting that long-term gaming could deliver some good returns. But don’t even think about heading straight off to your favourite casino just yet - this is a highly volatile game, so you could tear through your bankroll with nothing much to show for your efforts. We suggest you explore this and other volatile GameArt demo slots here on our site in the first instance. You won’t be able to keep your winnings, but you’ll walk away with your bankroll intact!
How to Play Dawn of Olympus
It’s worth spending some time playing Dawn of Olympus in demo mode to get a feel for the game, but it won’t take you long to get to grips with the controls.
1. Set your budget for the session and divide it up to give you a minimum of 200 spins - although this won’t guarantee you’ll come out ahead in the long term, it should give you plenty of winning opportunities.
2. Set your payline stake using the Coin Value button. This amount is then multiplied across all 10 paylines to arrive at your Total Bet.
3. Tap or click on the Spin button to start the reels spinning.
4. Autoplay lets you select your preferred number of automatic spins, leaving you to free to concentrate on gameplay.
5. View the paytable by tapping on the ‘I’ button to the far bottom left of your screen.
6. Mute game sounds from below the gaming screen.
Bet Sizes & Paytable Wins
You play Dawn of Olympus with a coin value that ranges from 0.01 to 2.00. This is the amount that you place on each payline, so with ten fixed paylines you havea betting range from 0.20 to 20.00 per spin.
In the case of low-value playing card suit symbols you’ll need to match up three or more across a payline to win a cash prize. But when it comes to the gods and goddesses of Ancient Greece you’ll only need two matches, from left to right across the reels, to win a payout. And of course the Wild symbol is on hand to act as a substitute for any other icons on the paytable, which can trigger some unexpected wins.

Dawn of Olympus Bonus Features & Free Spins
The Wild symbol stands in for other icons on the paytable, but it’s also the game’s Scatter symbol, making it highly sought after on the reels.
Three Scatters award 10 Free Spins, with one Special Expanding Symbol chosen before they start. This symbol expands whenever it can form a winning combination and pays like a Scatter.
Three Sword and Shield Bonus symbols award the Bonus Jackpot game, in which you pick shields to match three. You could win an instant cash prize or one of the four Jackpot payouts.
Tap on the golden token to the left of the reels to buy the Free Spins or Bonus Jackpot feature at the price shown.
Dawn of Olympus Review
It’s hard to find much to dislike about Dawn of Olympus. Outstanding graphics and animations combine with a stirring atmospheric soundtrack to create an epic game with some great features. Regular slots players will instantly recognise the gaming mechanic straight out of the Book Of franchise, but with the addition of a Bonus Jackpot round, what’s not to love about that?
We also like the fact that you can buy the bonus rounds if the reels don’t land in your favour. But be aware that this game is extremely volatile, so it’s not for the faint-hearted!
