As big fans of Game of Thrones ourselves, we were naturally very excited to check out this properly branded and authorised online slot by Microgaming, and we’re happy to announce the game has not disappointed.

Although payouts maybe weren’t quite as frequent as we might have liked, the epic soundtrack, beautiful illustrations and fun bonus features were plenty to keep us on our toes. We particularly enjoyed the gambling feature, with an authentic looking coin featuring the words “Valar Morghulis” (all men must die) on the tails side. Correctly choose heads or tails on a spin to double your money on any winning combination and unlock a short clip directly from the show: a lovely treat for those in it for more than the money (although the money was also nice!).

The graphics in the Game of Thrones slot have quite literally come straight out of the TV show. The game itself is set in one of the vaults of King's Landing, with the stunning stonework and pillars visible behind the reels. The reels are set on dark iron, possibly reflective of the Iron Throne with the spikes of the swords just visible coming out from behind the reels.

The whole game looks like it could genuinely be taking place within the world of Westeros, and you wouldn’t be overly surprised to see one of the characters (we won’t name any for spoiler purposes) playing this in their spare time as they sit around the castle.

How to Play Game of Thrones Slots

As with any online slot game, the first thing you’re going to need to do to play Game of Thrones is decide on your bet. The bet button sits nicely right in the middle of the bottom of the screen in this game and you can increase or decrease your bet by clicking on the + and - buttons either side or bring up more options by clicking on the word bet.
