Watch the bullets fly and join the silent, deadly assassin on this secret mission - should you choose to accept it.

Introduction to Hitman

Be transported into the realm of undercover missions and contract assassins with this killer slot. Based on the video games and film, Hitman brings to life the hidden world of the mysterious Agent 47, bringing with it suspense and thrills as you spin to win. A mix of enticing bonus features and decent payout possibilities add substance to the aesthetics, blending entertainment with winning potential to make this a proficiently lethal slot worth playing.

Review/first impressions

This is a lethal slot that generates a sense of tension and atmosphere and replicates the Hitman and general deadly assassin theme effectively. The combination of graphics and sound effects engages the senses and makes it a great choice for entertainment value.

Although the RTP is at the lower end of average, the medium volatility should keep the game rewarding with smaller but more regular wins. We really enjoyed the bonus features, as they add a novel touch to the slot and keep things interesting. The bonus games also bring to life the film and video game side to Hitman; for example, you select a human target from your mission briefing in the Contract bonus.

The slot is smooth to play, with the quality mechanics you would expect from Microgaming. Although the varied features may sound more complex, it is a surprisingly straightforward slot to get to grips with. The clear-cut user interface helps with this.

Payout ratio (or RTP) of Hitman slot

The RTP is estimated at 95.72 per cent, which refers to the theoretical percentage you could anticipate winning back from your total bet. While fairly average, there are better RTPs for similar slots out there and you may need more patience for higher value wins. Nonetheless, the medium volatility means smaller, more regular wins are likely, which should keep the gameplay engaging and rewarding.

Hitman slot graphics

The graphics are perhaps not the most sophisticated we have seen; however, they are still good quality and add a contemporary edge to this slot, making it aesthetically pleasing. The colour scheme is predominantly black, with crimson red touches and backgrounds for the symbols. The base game symbols are very fitting for the dark theme, including the likes of a blade, a syringe complete with an arsenic-filled vial, pistols, money, a skipping rope, and a sniper rifle. The graphics are complemented by a movie-style, suspense-filled soundtrack that echoes darkness and mystery throughout gameplay. Together, the sound and aesthetics do a good job of capturing the essence of the theme and build a tense atmosphere nicely.

Hitman game theme

This slot embodies a deadly assassin theme, which many will instantly recognise as being based on the popular film and video game Hitman. Hitman was first released in 2016 and the stealth video game has since extended into a series due to its impressive popularity. It is a third-person game where players take the place of Agent 47, a gun-for-hire who is enhanced genetically to become a silent, deadly assassin for countless missions internationally as he conducts contract killings of specified targets. With a range of implements and weapons at your disposal, there is scope for creativity when it comes to taking out targets.

The 2007 action film replicated some of the premise from the much-loved video game series. Here, Agent 47 is contracted by the mysterious group known as The Organisation. This gets him into dangerously murky water, as the group is embroiled in a political conspiracy that results in him being pursued across Eastern Europe and Russia with the military and Interpol close on his trail.

How to play Hitman slots

Underneath the reels, you will find a straightforward user interface where your credits and line bet are to the right. Lines, coins, your total bet and a button to select max bet span the centre, while the spin button and your winnings are to the right. The option to toggle the sound on/off and the help button can be found to the top right.

Lines are adjustable between 1 and 15, and you can bet between 1 and 20 coins. Wagers start from 0.01 up to 0.25.

This makes the minimum bet just 0.01, keeping to a 0.01 wager on one line with one coin. With a max 0.25 bet, all 15 lines and all 20 coins, the maximum wager per spin is 75.00.

To play, simply select your line bet from the magnifying lens-style selector using the +/- buttons, choose your lines and how many coins you wish to play, and hit spin. Alternatively, you can select max bet to place the full amount

While the bet is easy to select with the +/- adjustment buttons, selecting the lines and number of coins is more time consuming, as you need to continually click ‘lines’ or ‘coins’ to run through the numbers. If you accidentally skip the desired amount, you have to keep going until you get back around to it again. If you have the ability to use expert mode, this will open up the options to make this easier, giving the opportunity to adjust with +/- buttons and the option to use the autoplay feature. With autoplay, you can set this so that the computer does the hard work and spins the reels automatically for between 5 and 500 spins. You can choose to then end it when the spins are complete or stop it when your winnings exceed a certain amount.

Hitman game volatility

The volatility is estimated to be fairly medium, meaning that you should be able to anticipate more regular albeit lower value payouts. More consistent wins help to keep the game engaging and enjoyable, which perhaps partly explains the popularity of this slot with players.

How to win at Hitman slots

Winning symbol combinations will pay out tiered amounts when you scoop two or more on your active paylines. Agent 47 in his infamous two-gun pose serves as the wild. He also serves as an expanding wild, but only when there are winning symbol combinations that can be completed. He will only appear on the second, third and fourth reels, and there is no payout for any combinations of him. The wild will also substitute all symbols bar the scatter bonus symbols. There are three other Hitman symbols, which are the highest paying in the slot. The top is Agent 47 looking down the scope of a sniper rifle, with five of this symbol scooping you 4,000 coins.

The bonus features offer more ways to win and potentially more profitable payouts.

Hitman bonus features

There are three scatters in this slot: the insignia symbol, the miniature PC, and the film rating 18 symbol. As with the wild, there are no payouts for combinations of scatters. Each of these can activate their respective bonus game.

Insignia bonus - Three insignia symbols on reels one, two and three can trigger the Insignia bonus whereby you will choose one object to unveil a random win amount. This bonus can also be triggered during the Free Spins bonus.

Contract bonus - Three of the mini PC symbols on reels three, four and five will trigger the Contract bonus feature. You will find five targets and need to choose one to reveal a random win amount. You will also see five weapons and will get to choose one of these to reveal a random multiplier. This bonus can also be activated during the free spins feature. There is a generous top prize available here of up to 270,000 coins.

Free Spins bonus - Get yourself three or more of the 18 symbols anywhere on your reels to trigger the Free Spins bonus. This feature will grant you 18 free spins; what’s more, all wins will be doubled during this round. You can’t reactive the bonus game while playing, but there is a chance to activate the other two bonus games - the Insignia bonus and the Contract bonus - while you play. For a killer twist, Agent 47 will act as an expanding wild during the Free Spins round to give your winnings a boost.

Hitman strategy and tips

This slot uses a random number generator (RNG) to make sure gameplay is totally fair and random. This means that outcomes cannot be predicted, nor can they be manipulated. As a result, there are not really any strategies for playing; however, we would recommend adequate spins without the financial risk with our free demo game so that you can get a feel for it and make an informed decision as to whether it is one you want to pay to play. If you choose to have a go with an online casino, it can be a good idea to set a budget before playing.

Hitman slot biggest possible win

While there are decent payouts for some of the more valuable symbols in the base game, it is the bonus features that really pack a punch. The Contract bonus is particularly lucrative, with up to 270,000 coins up for grabs.

Free spins on Hitman slot

Three or more of the 18 symbol will activate the free spins round, where 18 free goes are all yours. Not only will wins get a 2x multiplier but also the Agent 47 symbol is an expanding wild in this round. Either of the two other bonus rounds can also be triggered during the Free Spins feature to keep things exciting.
