How to play

Lightning Gems is a Next Gen game with five reels, three rows and 10 paylines. The aim of the game is to line up winning combinations of symbols, which will give your rich rewards. Plus there are symbols that will allow you to access the game’s bonus features and increase your winnings.

When you look at the screen, most of the tools you will need for setting the game the way you like it are in front of you. At the right-hand side there is a large round button which is the spin button that sets the game in motion. On the left-hand side of the spin button is a tab with a vertical disc on it. Click on this for a quick way of adjusting your wager up or down.

To make other adjustments, click on the gear symbol on the left-hand side of the screen. This takes you to a number of panels where you can adjust the sound, choose whether you want to activate autoplay, increase or decrease your wager and find out more about the symbols and the bonus features in the paytable.

Golden wilds

The wild symbol is the shining golden medallion with the spinning planet in its centre. This substitutes for all symbols except the scatter, to give you more opportunities to collect rewards. To make the game even more fun, there is a Wild Nudge feature. Any wild symbols that have just missed out on making a winning combination on the reels can be nudged into a better position that means more wins for you. Nudging can also happen during free spins.

Even better, there is a Wild Wins feature, during which an extra wild will hover at the edge of the reels and then throw itself on to create more winning combinations. This happens during free spins too.

Jewel in the crown

Look out for the scatter symbol, which is a beautiful incandescent gem. When three of these appear on the reels, prepare for some exciting action. Three scatters give you 10 free spins, and during these free spins, an extra 10 wilds will be added to each of the reels. That means a total of 50 extra wilds are given to players to help them collect more payouts during this bonus feature.

As the free spins progress, more free spins can be triggered, so you could be there for a while, racking up the wins when lightning strikes in your favour. If you are lucky enough to gather five scatters, then you will be celebrating a 2000x payout on your total wager.
