About the Megaways Mechanic

With the Megaways mechanic, there are variable numbers of symbols which spin up each time, giving up to 117,649 ways to win in the case of Medusa Megaways. But the actual number of ways to win varies with each spin, and is displayed above the reels with every spin. Each reel can hold a minimum of two symbols, with a maximum of seven symbols, in the case of reels 1 and 6, and a maximum of six for reels 2 - 5. A seventh, horizontal, reel runs along the top of the grid, adding an extra symbol to reels 2 - 5, which effectively creates up to seven rows for each reel.
