Layout

This game has five reels with four rows, laid out in a 5x4 configuration. There are no paylines to be selected, though there are a stated 1024 ways to win. In addition, there is a credit value ranging from 0.02 to 1, with four increments, as well as a 40 credits per multiplier bet amount ranging from one to five. A very wide range of prizes, both large and small, can be won. Prizes are awarded to players who find two, three, four and five-of-a-kind adjacent matching symbols in a valid configuration. In total there are 14 symbols. 11 of those are regular sorts for prize matches, and the remaining three are special types that offer wild and scatter functionality, along with the chance to unlock the bonus game round. The symbols themselves are a nice mix of themed images like treasure chests and gold for the upper value prizes, and typical playing card symbols like 'A', 'Q' and 'K' for the lower value ones.

Prizes

The most valuable regular symbol is the treasure chest. Finding five of these in a valid configuration will award a maximum prize of up to 10,000 credits. Next up are the gold coins, offering much smaller prizes of up to 3750 credits only, followed by the gems, which are worth up to 2500 credits. Way down at the other end of the scale are the 'Q', 'J', '10' and '9' symbols. The least valuable in the game, these all offer a near identical range of small prizes, up to a total of 100 credits each. Don't despair at these smaller winnings though, as with luck, patience and some help from the generous special features, even these amounts can soon add up to something huge.

Bonus

First among the special symbols is the wild, a picture of a woman stuck deep in the uncanny valley. The wild appears on reels two and four only, and it acts as a substitute for any regular symbol as part of a winning combination in a valid configuration. Next up is the bonus symbol. This not only awards large prizes - up to 10,000 credits for five - but also unlocks the hold n' spin mode, which in turn can unlock the temple steps bonus round. Finding two to four scattered bonus symbols will trigger the hold n' spin mode, where additional paying bonus symbols transform into locked icons that cover the reel for the duration of the phase. If all five reels are locked the temple steps bonus game will trigger. During this game mode, players must select a step on the highlighted level, revealing a red or green arrow. A green arrow will advance players to a higher level with greater bonuses, while a red arrow will end the feature. When the round ends, the player is awarded with a number of free games and a multiplier, based on the temple level reached.
