The circus is in town!

Side show is based on the travelling circus. Unlike many circus-themed slots, it does not focus on the big top; instead, it takes its inspiration from the carnival side show, with strongmen, sword swallowers and bearded ladies everywhere you look. The game is basically a three-reel slots game with eight paylines. This may not sound intensely exciting; however, the atmosphere, the graphics and the inventive and plentiful bonus features make this game special. The background is a slightly ramshackle stage outside a circus tent, with the carnival barker shouting to passers-by to draw them into the side show. Choose the amount you want to bet, with all lines always active, and away you go! The reels spin to the accompaniment of fairground music and the noise of the crowd. The basic symbols are all characters in the side show: a monkey, a sword swallower, a set of twins, a bearded lady, a snake charmer, a strongman and a human cannonball. The basic rule is very straightforward: a vertical, horizontal or diagonal row of three identical symbols will win you a prize. Winning symbols disappear and are replaced by new symbols, allowing multiple wins from one spin. If you do get multiple wins, they are multiplied by five!

All the fun of the fair

The fun really starts with the bonus features. Game Flash is triggered when three game flash ticket symbols appear on a payline. Three spotlights will play over the reels and you will get a prize depending on where the spotlights finally come to rest. Next is the Spinning Hand game. If a spinning hand symbol lands in the very centre of the reels, it will spin and come to rest pointing to a symbol. You will win the prize for this symbol. The hand and the winning symbol are then both replaced, offering another chance to win a prize.

Bonus games

There are also three bonus games: Balloon Pop, which involves bursting balloons with a knife; Fortune Teller, a card game; and Showtime, where you collect stars and multipliers to fill the posters of cities that appear to the left of the screen. All three games are simple to play, original and fun. All three bonus games can activate the first jackpot, which is called Jackpot Flash. A light flashes over four different credit prizes, a jackpot prize and a super jackpot flash prize.
