Layout

Like a number of contemporary slots games, The Vanishing Act has five reels in total that have four rows each. These are laid out in the familiar 5x4 configuration. There are up to 40 paylines that can be selected over four increments. The line bet value is also variable, ranging from 0.01 to 10.00 across a total of seven increments. A whole lot of prizes, both large and small, are up for grabs and are awarded to lucky players who manage to find two, three, four or five adjacent matching symbols oriented from left to right on an active payline. In total there are only eight symbols, six of which are just regular sorts for prize matches, with the remaining two being special sorts that award free spins and wild functionality.

Prizes

The most valuable regular symbol is the master magician, no doubt the man behind the vanishing act itself, escaping from a pair of handcuffs. Finding two to five of these on a payline will award large prizes of 50 credits. Next up is the same man again, this time possibly suspended from the ceiling via metal chains. This is only slightly less valuable, awarding prizes of up to 40 credits. After that, that man again, this time seen trying to escape from some kind of underwater act, which is worth top prizes of 30 credits. Way down at the other end of the prize table is the '10' symbol, the least valuable in game, awarding small prizes of up to 11 credits, though these can soon factor into much bigger winnings with just a little luck

Free Games

First among the special symbols is the free games icon, which appears on reels two, three and four only. If this symbol occupies all positions on these reels, the free spins feature will be unlocked - players are awarded with seven spins, all played using the selected paylines and bet size of the main game spin that initially triggered them. Unfortunately, additional free spins cannot be won whilst in this mode, though additional stacked symbols will appear instead.

Wild

Next up is the wild symbol, depicted here by the Vanishing Act logo. This is a substitute, which means that it can be used in place of any other symbol (except for the scatter) as part of a winning combination on an active payline, making it easier to make up prize matches. In addition, multiple wilds in a valid configuration will also award very generous prizes of up to 1000 credits.
