While there are - likely - well over 150 “Book of” inspired slots now out there in the online gambling world, game developers are continually releasing new slots with the same game mechanic to try and compete with their competitors and offer player something a bit different - and while Book of Cai Shen doesn’t offer anything too impressive, it does offer one significant difference from most of the other “Book of” slots we’re used to seeing played.

What is that difference? Well, in short, it’s the fact that while playing Book of Cai Shen you’re able to win as much as 11,069X your stake as opposed to the 5,000X maximum win cap we see built into most games of a similar nature. The volatility of the slot is also higher, although, while writing this Book of Cai Shen slot review, we did find the base-game to play pretty well - we saw fairly frequent wins, and managed some decent hits too.

Like Play’n Go’s Book of Dead and Novomatic’s Book of Ra Deluxe, Book of Cai Shen is all about the main free-spins bonus round - but don’t discount the base-game entirely as you can land some nice hits.
