Theme, graphics and soundtrack

Against a dramatic backdrop that might be the Grand Canyon or Monument Valley awash with purples, reds, yellows and blues, while snow gently falls, a simple grid rests, decorated with ribbons and baubles. The music is an orchestral rendering of Native American themes while the sound effects consist of thuds, stabs and rushing sounds.

Frankly, the visuals are quite ordinary and there’s nothing startling in the animation. It seems to be just Buffalo Power with a red hat and a white beard.

How to play Buffalo Power Christmas

1. To the right of the Spin button is the coins icon. Use the minus and plus buttons to adjust the bet or click on the icon to pick from the available options.
2. Click on the small spin button to open the Autoplay menu. Here you can select various numbers of automatic spins from 5 to 999. The number of spins remaining is shown below the auto button.
3. You can also set the Autoplay mode to stop if you reach a set loss limit and a single win limit.
4. Click the lightning bolt to activate fast play.

Buffalo Power Christmas review: our verdict

This may have had a Christmas makeover but it doesn’t add anything to the original Buffalo Power game, which in itself was not spectacular. The bonus games are modest in their ambition, while the base game play is rather pedestrian. The RTP is below average and the maximum payout is relatively low. We can’t recommend this with much enthusiasm, but why not try it yourself and see if you find it more appealing?
