Theme and Graphics

The game is based on one of the most familiar and popular slot themes: Chinese New Year. It boasts the predictable red and gold color theme with a smattering of pink. The red background features two gold dragons down each side of the reels. Along the top, pink-colored peach blossom adorns the reels beautifully, with petals fluttering down throughout play. The reels themselves have a black background, which makes the symbols pop-out even more vibrantly. This includes a number of lower scoring symbols, designed as an origami frog, tortoise, swan and butterfly. You'll also spot the higher scoring symbols, which includes a fan, lantern, gold coins and gold ingots, all symbols traditionally associated with Chinese New Year and the idea of good luck and prospects. A soft folk melody is a suitable accompaniment to this charming game.

How to Play Dragon's Gold 100

1. Start by making a Total Bet. This is super-easy to do, just locate the Total Bet display below the reels and use the arrows to increase or reduce the bet.
2. Choose a Total Bet of between 0.20 and 15.00.
3. To the lower right of the reels is everything else you need to get going, including both the autospin and spin buttons.
4. To the lower left is where you will find important game info and settings. This includes an ‘i’ icon for viewing the rules and paytable and a settings icon which you can use to adjust the sound.
5. After any payline win, you can choose to play the gamble game, simply click on the card symbols to do this.

Scatters

This game has not one, but two scatter symbols which pay out for landing three or more times anywhere on the reels. This includes the Maneki-Neko Scatter which only appears on reels 1, 3 and 5, and the Koi Fish Scatter which can land anywhere and also award multipliers of up to x100 when it does. 

Expanding Wild

The Golden Dragon Wild symbol will substitute for other symbols (except for the scatter). It can also randomly expand to fill an entire reel. The Dragon Wild only appears on reels 2, 3 and 4. 

Gamble Feature

With no free spins feature to speak of, the gamble feature is the main bonus excitement in this game. Available on every payline win, simply click the playing cards symbols which will now be displayed to the lower left of the reels. A new screen pops up with a turned-down playing card at its center. Simply choose red or black to predict the color of the card. An incorrect guess will result in a loss of the gamble winnings and return you to the game. A correct guess will result in a doubling of the gambled winnings. To decline the gamble feature, simply hit the money bag icon or simply click on the spin button again to automatically collect winnings and take another spin.

A stunning Chinese-themed game that manages to replicate a popular theme but still keeps things interesting. Our highlights are the gamble option, the expanding wild, the stacked symbols and the fact there are not one, but two scatters. We also liked that the game has a decent RTP of almost 97% as well as medium to high volatility. 

It's a shame that the max bet is just 15.00 and that there is no free spins feature, but we still felt it had plenty to offer.
