Introduction
If you go down to the woods today, what kind of surprise will you get?
Elora herself appears to have a magic headband, and let’s assume she is there to collect items. She appears to have been transported from elsewhere as she’s less wood nymph and more space-age exercise diva. She is looking for a chalice (as you do), a unicorn (hmm), a satchel and a treasure chest filled with coins. Standard. Unfortunately, the magic headband does not appear to do much, so there’s no shortcut - you’re going to have to get spinning on those wheels and help her to collect the items yourself.
This game is free to play in demo mode. This can help you decide if you want to play the game for real money at an online casino.
Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack
The background itself is a whimsical forest, the type you might expect to see depicted in a nursery rhyme or fairy tale book - albeit with a nighttime setting and some unexpected neon swirls adorning a couple of rocks.
Then you glance at the reels and some of the icons present are... a glowing red skull in a medieval bowl of soup? Oh, that’s a chalice. Plus a unicorn, not to mention Elora and her magic headband and a satchel. Someone is getting their genres mixed up here. Overall, are we talking Blair Witch Project or Little Red Riding Hood? Probably the latter.
The soundtrack is fairly unremarkable. There's some clacking as you spin the reels and vaguely foreboding background music until you win, at which point you’ll get some typical fairground slot tinkles. It can be slightly confusing, as Elora herself lands on the reels with a bit of a thud every time, including when you haven’t actually won anything.
Similarly, a sweeping harp builds as the Wild Unicorns hit the screen but it won’t necessarily come to anything. A Big Win - you’ll know when you’re getting one as it will say so on the screen - is accompanied by additional trills and thuds.

Our Verdict
The narrative for Elora’s Quest is not particularly cohesive as the background and characters aren’t necessarily what you’d usually expect to see in fantasy themed slots.
There are a couple of bonus features, and as always, Betixon have inbuilt a generous free spins round that could potentially go on for a very long time.
Ultimately, whether or not this particular slot appeals to you will depend on the theme you enjoy the most and whether or not you’re a fan of Betixon’s approach as it is more or less exactly the same in terms of payout structure and features as their other titles.
The volatility has yet to be established, so be vigilant and decide for yourself if your return is worthwhile. The RTP of 93.8% is not amazing, nor is it a complete disaster.
