With so much effort poured into the technical side of Towering Pays: Babylon, we were half expecting to find a disappointing and slightly bland design; however, we couldn’t have been more wrong. Towering Pays: Babylon is a feast for the eyes, with the background showing the Hanging Gardens of Babylon complete with cascading waterfalls, swaying palms and palatial balconies.

Everything is softly animated, but not so much that it ever becomes distracting. Despite its obvious beauty, Towering Pays: Babylon’s design is an exercise in subtly. The green color scheme isn’t overpowering and the music has a fascinating and almost ethereal quality. It is a mix of pipes and keys with the odd drumbeat thrown in.

The only complaint we can level at a slot like this is that it is not especially user-friendly. Although the instructions explain how everything works, they aren’t the clearest, there is a lot of information, and newcomers might feel alienated; however, this is a small price to pay for originality on this scale.
