Empress of the Seas

Empress of the Seas review

Cordelia Cruises now owns Empress of the Seas, which used to be part of the Royal Caribbean fleet. It is smaller than the modern cruise liners built today but this is part of its appeal and why guests return year after year. This popular cruise ship offers a fabulous range of amenities, facilities and entertainment, including a thrilling onboard casino.

Casino games

Whilst sailing through exotic waters, guests can enjoy the ship’s revamped world-class Casino Royale. This Empress of the Seas Casino FL offers visitors an abundance of gambling opportunities in lavish surroundings. Players can visit the live table games; alternatively, if they prefer to gamble alone, there are almost 200 slot machines on the casino floor.

Slots

Customers will find this Miami casino stacked with 196 thrilling slots. Players can choose their favourite machines or try up-to-date games such as Reel Rainbows and Bier Hausa. Guests can also play online slots USA during the cruise, as there is excellent wi-fi.

Table games

Visitors will find ten live table games and two poker tables at the Casino Royale. Players looking to enjoy Empress of the Seas poker can compete with other guests at Caribbean stud poker. Other live table games include double-deck blackjack, craps, and double-zero roulette.

History

Empress of the Seas entered service back in 1990 as part of the Royal Caribbean fleet of cruise liners. She was the sole ship in her class. In 2008, she was transferred to Pullmantur Cruises but returned to RCI in 2016. Cordelia Cruises, an Indian company, bought her in December 2020.

Features and service

In addition to the fantastic onboard casino, there are many other first-class facilities and amenities. There are a number of restaurants and a lovely cafe. Enjoy a drink from the ship’s three full-service bars or relax in your updated accommodation. Recharge your batteries at the pool, jacuzzi or spa. For retail therapy, hit the shops where high fashion is tax/duty-free. There is live music, comedians, and a lively nightlife for adults. Other activities include pool parties, guest speakers, and salsa dancing lessons.

Accommodations

The cruise liner has 796 comfortable staterooms over five decks. All rooms include private bathrooms, vanity areas, TVs, hairdryers, radios and phones. Each room has twin beds that can be joined to make a royal king. Some staterooms have two Pullman beds to accommodate four passengers.

Dining

There is a range of on-board eateries and no matter what their dietary requirements, guests will love the high-quality global food and beverages. Chops Grille serves fresh seafood, juicy steaks, delicious sides and tasty desserts. In the main dining room, guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast, lunch and dinner with exceptional customer service. At Windjammer Cafe, you can order a delicious snack after a pool session or enjoy dinner in a relaxing atmosphere, taking in the glorious sea views.
