Founded in 1966, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), also known as Norwegian, is the world’s third-largest cruise line measured by the number of passengers carried. As of 2018, it accounted for nearly nine per cent of the worldwide cruise market. NCL has a fleet of 17 cruise ships in different classes, and several under construction. Norwegian Dawn is classed as a Miami casino because that is its city of registration, but its cruises take it around the Caribbean, the Greek islands, the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and on transatlantic voyages. Built-in 2002 and refurbished in 2016, the ship can accommodate 2,340 guests with 1,032 crew.

There is no shortage of live music, cabaret and more, including the long-running Elements music and dance show and Soul Rockin’ Nights.

The ship’s gift shops sell everything you need for a holiday in the sun, including cosmetics, clothing, snacks and sundries as well as duty-free perfume, jewellery, liquor and accessories.
