History

Desert Diamond is owned and operated by the Tohono O’odham Nation. It is one of four casino resorts owned by the Tohono O’odham, with revenue going to support the Tribal community. It was opened in 1993 and refurbished in 2018 to add a fresh, new style.

The 3.5-star hotel has 149 guestrooms. Some rooms offer a view over the mountains, and all offer luxurious touches including rainfall-style showerheads, microfiber bedding, an in-room refrigerator, coffee maker and HDTV.

Dining

There are a variety of dining options available at Desert Diamond. The Diamond Cafe offers delicious comfort food from salads to juicy steaks. The Koi: Sin Ki: Buffet offers great value surf and turf, but at the time of writing this review, is currently closed. The Diamond Grill is open 24/7 and is the place to go for breakfast, sandwiches, pizza, and fresh coffee.

The Monsoon Room nightclub is new with over 100 slots and space to relax with a drink. There are also lounges on the gaming floor where you can grab a cocktail and take a break from the action.

Shopping

The Desert Diamond gift shop offers souvenirs of your stay and a range of gifts.

Getting Down to Business

The Desert Diamond is the perfect place to host a business event or special occasion. The flexible meeting space is 20,000 sq ft and facilities include high-tech meeting rooms and access to catering services. A free airport shuttle is also offered for visitors to the resort.

Fitness Focus

The fitness center is open 24/7. There’s also a pool, hot tub, and fire pit. Guests can also visit the local Omni Tucson National golf resort with two 18-hole courses.
