Blazing Hot uses a five-reel, three-row grid with five fixed paylines. The bet size ranges from 25 to 15,000 and there are seven regular symbols: horseshoe, grapes, bananas, cherries, lemon, strawberry and plum. The scatter is a big red star.

Theme, graphics and soundtrack

This is a very traditional game. It has no theme and no setting; instead, it just has an abstract red background, dark purple reels, and large and extremely realistic images. How to play Blazing Hot

1. Before you start playing, you need to decide how much you want to bet on each spin. The bet amount is shown on the spin button in the centre of the control panel. Adjust the bet using the minus and plus symbols, or press ‘min’ or ‘max’ to go directly to the lowest or highest permitted bet.
2. To start playing, press the spin button. This will spin the reels once. The bet can’t be changed while the reels are spinning.
3. When the reels start to spin, the spin button changes to a stop button. You can press this to stop the reels at will. You can also perform a ‘quick stop’ by clicking or tapping anywhere on the screen.
4. You can also set the reels spinning by pressing the spacebar or enter key on your keyboard. Alternatively, you can start play simply by dragging one of the reels up or down.
5. Press the autoplay button to the left of the screen, next to the balance meter, to enter continuous play. You cannot select a number of autospins; instead, the autoplay mode continues until you press the stop button to re-enter manual play.
6. The balance meter to the bottom left of the screen displays your constantly updated current balance.
7. Winning combinations must begin from the leftmost reel.

Gamble

Whenever your win is equal to or less than 1,750, you have the chance to double your winnings by clicking the double button. You then have to choose the red or black suit from a deck of cards. If the card that turns over matches your choice, your win is doubled; if your choice is wrong, you lose the winnings you gambled. Provided you win, you may gamble four times. If you do not wish to gamble at all, simply ignore the double button. If you have gambled successfully but not used all four attempts, you can exit the feature by clicking ‘take’.

This is not a game that will suit players with a taste for mythology, horror, history, music or the natural world in their slots. If you like fruit machine games with bright, realistic graphics, straightforward gameplay and the extra attraction of a gamble feature, this will probably appeal. It isn’t going to win over any doubters, nor will it displace other favourite fruit-themed games. It isn’t an outstanding example of its kind, but it is adequate.
