Theme, Graphics & Design

Dolphin's Luck 2 features a wonderfully jazzy “under the sea” style tune composed of snare drums and trumpets. It’s incredibly upbeat and had us feeling lively as soon as it started to play. It’s rare to find a slot where the music is the highlight of the design, but that’s certainly true of Dolphin's Luck 2.

Elsewhere the design is quite simple but attractive nonetheless. Set in the ocean, we appreciated the colour fade from the top to the bottom of the screen, suggestive of a dive into the depths. The lowest part of the grid is immersed in near-total darkness, with a few solitary air bubbles drifting up from the seabed.

A dolphin swims in the distance and there’s an array of brightly coloured coral. The simplified ocean background works well (especially with that refreshing music) but Booming Games could have worked harder on the symbols. They’re all well-drawn but quite simplistic. A little more creativity in this area would have been appreciated.

Dolphin’s Luck 2 isn’t as sedate as it seems, though. The gamble feature is a highlight and it poses difficult questions after any win. Players will differ in how they approach this mechanic (some will ignore it altogether) but it certainly makes for a tense few moments.

Free spins are, of course, always a welcome sight, especially since the dolphin scatter also pays out a good prize. This creation from Booming Games is by no means the most advanced slot that you’ll find but its uncomplicated, cheerful gameplay will leave you hankering for a sea view!
