Graphics & Theme

This is a scary looking slot - but for all the right reasons. The aptly titled Ghost Quest is a horror themed slot with an abundance of spooky symbols and a soundtrack that would fit perfectly alongside a suspenseful old-fashioned horror movie. 

The symbols used include a scary skeleton, headstones, spooky doorways and the obligatory - albeit styled to fit the theme - playing card symbols. Everything has been designed to suit the title of the slots, but the fonts used can make some of the words difficult to read and the interface difficult to interact with. If you want what many consider to be a slightly upgraded version of a horror-themed game, you may want to check out the more popular Ghost Glyph slot.

Ghost Quest RTP and Variance

The return to player ratio of this slot is theoretically around 95.83 per cent. This is fairly average for an online slot, although there is never any guarantee of wins when you play this type of game. When it comes to variance levels, we couldn’t find what this was supposed to be, but we think that Ghost Quest acted like a medium to high-variance slot when we gave it a try.

How to Play Ghost Quest

This choice of Capecod free play slots isn’t the easiest of games to navigate, and so you may benefit from a few handy hints:

1. If you’re playing on a desktop device, look at the very bottom of the screen for a series of - very small - settings tabs. Ghost Quest Bonus Features 

The ghost wild can substitute for other symbols except for the scatters to help you to build wins, whilst the x2 symbol lands on the far-right reel and can double your prizes.

There is a bonus Free Spin feature triggered by at least three of the door Free Spin symbols. These icons only appear on the middle trio of reels, but they can land anywhere on these reels to start the free games bonus. If you trigger it, you will get a wild stack of 20 symbols along with unlimited free games. The slot will remove wilds from this stack and use them to cover other symbols on the reels. This will make the stack counter go down, and when it reaches zero, your bonus is over.

Ghost Quest Review

This is more of an aesthetically pleasing game than one you might choose for the gameplay on offer. The symbols and screen are nicely designed, apart from the fact that some of the wording is hard to read and some of the settings tabs are a little too small. Having said this, the symbols are well designed, and the little animations that follow wins really fit with the theme. If you’re a fan of the horror genre, then you might want to give this game a go, although its appeal may not last for more than a few minutes at a time. You may have more patience if you’re a fan of a higher-volatility slot and an industry-average RTP. You may also like the free games feature with a stack of wild action. This is an unusual bonus and is one that could potentially transform your winning ways - although it didn’t appear when we gave the game a try.
