The three character symbols appear stacked across all reels, and this means it’s far easier to land multiplier 5-of-a-kind combos at once than were they not to be stacked. We should also bring your attention to the wild symbol; this is the Shadow Queen herself, and she substitutes for all other symbols aside from the scatter symbols.

Like most Playtech slots, Kingdom’s Rise: Shadow Queen looks the part; the graphics are impeccable, and it’s very hard to find any visual faults with the game. The audio soundtrack is also very fitting, and each spin is accompanied by haunting, deep, crisp sound effects which really help to immerse you as a player into the game.

We like the fact that Kingdom’s Rise: Shadow Queen offers a progressive jackpot feature - although we do feel as though the game lets itself down a bit when it comes to the main free-spins bonus round. In today’s iGaming world - where we’re seeing every other slot with a free spin/progressive multiplier bonus round, we thought Playtech would be able to do a bit better here. It’s not a bad bonus round, we just feel that it lacks creativity.
