Gameplay and controls

Played over five reels and three rows, this game is brightly coloured with neat, clear graphics on the reels and easy controls to use. There are a fixed 10 paylines and an adjustable bet control, so you can wager as much or as little as you want on each spin.

Symbols and payouts

Starting at the lower end of the paytable are the classic fruit symbols. The lowest is the cherries, followed by the grapes and plum, while the watermelon is the highest-paying fruit. To hit a payout, you will need to match three or more of these along a payline. Although these fruit are the lower-paying combinations, they do occur frequently and can keep your game going while you try to hit those rarer matches.

The payouts for the next four symbols jump up from the fruity end of the pay scale. In ascending order, there is the bell, the star, the lucky number seven and then the large diamond. Even on the lowest bet, the diamond can win you up to $10.00.

Wilds and bonus play

Unlike many traditional slots, Second Strike by Quickspin embraces the more modern idea of using a wild symbol on the reels. In Lucky Dolphin, there is a gold wild symbol that can replace the other basic symbols to help create those winning matches and boost your winning opportunities.

The biggest chance to hit those bigger wins comes by triggering the Second Strike bonus feature. Every time you hit a win, the outer edge of the reels will light up. This track is filled with mini versions of the symbols. A random selection will light up, and a selection cursor starts to spin around the track over it.

Should the cursor land on one of the lit squares, the bonus feature will be accessed. Whichever symbol triggers the bonus is the symbol that then gets added as an extra onto the reels. If the initial win was three of a kind, six extra symbols will fly onto the reels. Four of a kind produces eight extras, and getting five will pop up 10 extra symbols.
