Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack

Whatever the shortcomings of a game, it can usually be said that it at least looks good. Whether it’s down to detailed icons, a rich colour palette or a well-designed interface, many poorly constructed games have a surface charm.

So Wild Warriors is somewhat unique in being quite...unattractive. The colour palette is dull, almost as if the brightness needed turning up on your monitor. The basic quality of the interface doesn’t help matters. Of course, if dull, muted colours are your colours of choice, fine, but online slots rely on contrast for navigation and this makes everything feel a bit murky and undefined.

The Warriors themselves, at least, are slightly brighter and attractive. The best icon—from an aesthetic point of view—is the Black Panther, who radiates a purple hue to contrast beautifully with her glowing orange eyes.

The music is a sombre affair, but atmospheric and dramatic, and this is punctuated with crashing sound effects. When you hit a win or feature the drama is increased, but it’s short-lived.

How to Play Wild Warriors

1. On the bottom left side of the screen, you can click the i icon to view the paytable.

2. To play in autoplay mode, use the small red square button to the right of the main Spin button to adjust the number of spins you want to play. You can select between 5 and 999 in the main game but only 50 on the demo version.

3. To adjust your total bet amount, use the arrow buttons to the right of BET in the bottom centre of the screen. Or, click the stacked coins button to select MAX BET. You can play between 0.1 and 100 coins.

4. To start play, use the large red Spin button towards the bottom right of the screen.

Wild Warrior

The game’s Wild Symbol is the Wild Warrior and it will substitute for any other symbol in the game apart from the Scatter Symbol. This is where you could achieve the max theoretical win of x1,000 total bet if you managed to score five Wild Warriors across the reels in a combination win.

Scatter Shield

The Scatter Symbol for this game is the Shield Symbol, which will appear on reels two, three and four only. You’ll need to catch seven out of a possible nine, at a minimum, to open the Free Spins Round.

Our Verdict

This action-adventure slot has a few features, but playing the game on autospin reveals that activating them does little to raise the level of interest from the quite boring and repetitive gameplay. After 50 spins, our balance was 32.00 lower and we hadn’t really noticed much activity.

The variance is unknown for this game and it would be tempting to label it as ‘none at all’. Of course, that would be inaccurate, so our advice is to keep a close eye on your incomings and outgoings.

This really is a slot that could have benefited from an above-average RTP to give it some oomph and also to compensate from rather low combination payouts. As it is, everything feels very lacklustre.
