Fallsview Casino is the latest gaming brand to receive an online gaming license from the Alcohol and Gambling Commission of Ontario. The brand joins the ranks of 888, LeoVegas and Coolbet as newly AGCO licensed companies, but with one major exception – it is the first land-based operator to obtain this license.

“We’re taking advantage of our Fallsview name, which is arguably the most recognized casino property in Ontario, and really building a product that reflects what Fallsview is, an extension of the property. Think of this as Fallsview in your pocket” – says Rich Roberts, president of iGaming at Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment which owns Fallsview.

eSports Betting Could Thrive Here

Fallsview has stated that its goal is not to compete with existing AGCO-licensed brands like Caesars, BetMGM and Bet365. The brand aims to be a “complementary product”, and it has the potential to fill a gap in the market, as well, since Fallsview has a potential to form a unique foothold on eSports in Ontario. With a 5,000-seat concert venue, Fallsview could certainly host some impressive esports events.

Fallsview Working with Kambi Group

As part of Fallsview’s statement that it will be joining the Ontario online gambling market, the casino has also announced its agreement with Kambi Group. Having worked with top gaming brands like Casumo, DraftKings and Penn National Gaming, Kambi is a leading in the betting world and will certainly have a positive impact on Fallsview’s online betting business.

However, Fallsview still has to finalize an agreement with iGaming Ontario before it can launch its online services. So, there is still a long way to go before Ontario players will be able to wager on sports via Fallsview.

Fallsview really has a significant opportunity in Ontario’s gambling market. As the only AGCO-licensed brand to have a land-based presence, it will be uniquely recognizable to local residents.
