How to Play Slot Vegas Megaquads

Slot Vegas has a four-slot layout, similar to the gameplay in Gorilla Gold Megaways from Blueprint Gaming. The major upside is that your wager isn’t based on what the cost of betting on one game multiplied by four would be. Instead, there’s just one stake for all sets of reels.

Each set of reels is similar to the gameplay in Donuts, where winning combinations are made by landing three or four symbols on a payline. The payouts aren’t hugely impressive on their own, as the most generous symbol pays out 1x for a four-of-a-kind win, so you really do rely on building up those multipliers.

Rainbow Wilds

To help you land wins, there are two types of wilds. The first is a regular wild that appears on the last three reels of each game that substitutes for all standard symbols, and the rainbow wild appears on reels 2 and 3.

When you land a rainbow wild on two sets of reels beside on another (for example, one reels 1 and 2 or 3 and 4), the sets of reels will combine. This allows you to land wins more easily, and accumulate multipliers.

Increasing Multipliers

Beside the game, there is a metre with all of the high-paying symbols listed. Whenever you hit a four-of-a-kind win with any of these symbols, it’s counter increase by 1x. Then, whenever you hit a winning combination with that symbol, its multiplier will be applied to your win.

It does take a while for you to increase your multipliers, though. You'd think that 4-of-a-kind combinations are easy to trigger but, after 200 spins, our multipliers were pretty disappointing:

• Purple diamond: 3x
• Red 7: 2x
• Blue 7: 3x
• Green 7: 9x

So, you do have to be quite patient. However, once you do manage to build up those multipliers, you can expect some great winning potential.

The free spins bonus is triggered when you land 4 or more VIP coins. You’ll get 6 free spins for 4 coins, and three more for every additional coin that triggers the round. Then, when you land the free spins bonus, all of the counters will lend their totals to the multiplier that will apply to all of your free spin wins.

This means that it’s better if you have to wait a while for the free spins bonus so you can accumulate some extra spins. It’s the opposite of how it works in other slots, where you’d like to land the bonus game as quickly as possible.

Once you’re in the free spins bonus the top two and bottom two sets of reels join together to create two 4x8 grids. This gives you 4096 winning ways on each.

Then, if you manage to land Rainbow Wilds on both sets of reels at once, the reels will come together once again. This time, you’ll have an 8x8 grid with 16,777,216 winning ways available to you.

Overall Review

Big Time Gaming has done it again with yet another interesting game mechanic. First, there was Megaways, then there was Megaclusters. Now, we’re being treated to Megaquads! This is yet another great gaming with all sorts of amazing winning potential and some incredible bonuses - but it does require some patience.

This is the kind of game where bankroll management is really important if you're not a high roller. You'll have to be mindful of your bets if you want to play long enough to build up the multipliers, as these really make a big difference in the gameplay.

We thought that the Rainbow Wilds feature would be pretty generous, but it doesn't come around nearly as often as we'd like. So, it's kind of a throwaway feature - unless you're lucky enough to land it during the free spins round.

Overall, Big Time Gaming's Slot Vegas Megaquads slot has the potential to be a great game but it left us wanting more. Still, we're looking forward to the next release in this series to see if there are any new features that will elevate the gameplay.
