Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack

The first thing that stands out about this slot machine is its appearance. The graphics are pumped up, colorful, and chaotic, with a graffiti style. In the background, you’ll see cartoon style doodles like an apple with a tentacle coming out of it, and shooting stars. They have a dark neon colouring and change color throughout the game. 

The game grid is small, with three reels, three rows, and only five potential paylines (on the lower side for most video slots). The monkeys are the main characters, and take pride of place on the grid. All of the monkeys wear stripy Breton tops, and have different accessories, like a gold hoop earring or a cigarette holder. The rest of the game symbols take the form of various hats including a sailor’s cap, a Russian Ushanka furry hat, and a German pickelhaube spike helmet. All of the game graphics are great, but the ape characters look very similar so it is difficult to tell them apart.

How to Play Aped

Aped has a simple gameplay, standard to most video slots. Here’s a quick guide to get you started:

Aped is full of free spins. Landing three of the free spin symbols on the grid gets you five free spins. If you’re lucky enough to land another three of these symbols during this round, you’ll also receive another three free spins. During the free spins round, the Wagmi multiplier chart starts at x5 and can go up to a maximum of x100, giving you a potential hefty win. Throughout the free spins the multiplier will change by a maximum of 10 on each turn. It won’t go down during a free spin but could remain the same.

Wagmi Multiplier Chart

The Wagmi (‘We are all going to make it’) multiplier chart is a bit more of an unusual feature in the game, similar to the multiplier available in games such as The Shadow Order from Push Gaming. Sitting underneath the game grid, the multiplier chart shows the multiplier applicable to wins during that spin. It goes up and down by +/- 2 each turn, between a minimum of x1 to a maximum of x10.

There’s no denying the creativity that has gone into developing the Aped online slot.
