Introduction

For the gamble feature, the reels disappear and the stark choice between red and white cards is played against the temple backdrop. The animation is fairly basic and the soundtrack is generic Egyptian with strings, pipes and percussive punctuation, which is no more than adequate.

How to play Book of Luxor Double

Book of Luxor Double has ten paylines and you can play any number from one to ten. All payouts are from left to right except for the scatter, and only the highest payline win is paid.

1. Use the plus and minus buttons to select the number of paylines you wish to play and to set the bet level.
2. Click the auto button to open the autoplay menu, which is where you can set the number of autoplays from 5 to 1,000 and several other options. You can set the game to stop or not stop when a bonus is triggered and stop or not stop on a jackpot. You can also set it to stop autoplay if a single win exceeds a specified level and if your credit increases or decreases by a set amount.
3. Press the start button to spin the reels at the current bet; alternatively, press the spacebar to spin.
4. A win from a line of scatters is paid as a win from Indy symbols.

Gamble

To gamble your winnings, press the gamble button and choose the red card or the black card. If you make the correct choice, the amount gambled will be doubled; if you choose incorrectly, you lose the gambled amount and the game ends.

Jackpots

Mystery jackpot awards are displayed on the bottom left-hand side of the screen and comprise a fixed award and an increment. At the start of any spin in the base game, a small percentage of the bet is contributed to the jackpot. The increment increases and a mystery jackpot can be won. The chance of winning a progressive jackpot will increase with the bet amount for the spin. This is a fairly simple game without a genuine bonus game. A gamble feature is always a welcome diversion but, on the whole, the gameplay is pretty thin. There is a decent 5,000x maximum payout; however, with a modest return to player and uninspiring play, there is nothing to lift this above the ordinary.
