Theme, Graphics and Soundtrack

The grid with its slightly art deco gold frame sits in front of lavish red theatrical curtains. The reels have the texture and color of cream papyrus and the high value images are very intricately drawn. The tortoise in particular has a realistic rather than emblematic appearance. The soundtrack is an atmospheric piece played mostly on wind instruments and the reels make a pleasant rattling sound. The win animations avoid the clichés of flashing lights and flames but the piece of music that accompanies them strikes a very jarring note. It is oddly comic and completely out of character with the rest of the game. We felt this really should have been addressed at the meeting which gave Si Ling the go-ahead. Otherwise it is a respectable piece of design which doesn’t suffer by the absence of any human characters.

How to Play Si Ling

Si Ling is a slot with 243 pay ways.

1. Click the minus and plus arrows to each side of the coin value indicator to amend the bet settings. The coin value will automatically be multiplied by 60 as the cost of each spin.
2. Click auto to turn on the automatic spin mode. You are not able to choose a specific number of spins, auto mode begins as soon as you turn it on. Click it to off to exit auto mode. The mode will automatically end when a feature is triggered.

Si Ling Review: Our Verdict

There is nothing much beyond the base game here. The one special feature is really just a complicated free-spins round. It’s nice to look at with a good RTP but the bet range is a little limited. It would have been a good idea to include a simple gamble option or even a buy feature to liven things up. Acceptable but undistinguished.
