Mono Wind Casino

This is a compact choice of California casinos offering a reasonable choice of slot machines, along with on-site dining near Auberry. It aims to offer Las Vegas-style gaming in a quaint and intimate setting where hospitality and friendliness are priorities. The venue has 10,000 square feet of gaming space and is operated and owned by the Big Sandy Rancheria Band of Western Mono Indians.

Casino Games

In the past, it was possible to play Mono Wind Casino poker and other table games. This is no longer the case, but there are still hundreds of slots to enjoy, including a big new range of penny games.

Slots

The Mono Wind Casino offers more than 300 slot machines, including old-school favorites and hot new titles. There is a variety of denominations available. Slots games include such popular titles as Willy Wonka and Buffalo, and there are progressives on offer.

Table Games

Although the selection was not as extensive as many US casinos, this venue used to offer some table games including poker, Pai Gow poker, and Double Deck Blackjack. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case.

Features and Amenities

This is not the casino for you if you are looking for a host of eateries, shopping malls, white-toothed dealers, and mini golf courses. This is a small casino venue that prides itself on offering a personal service and providing a good range of essential and leisure services befitting of the casino’s size and positioning.

Dining

The Mono Wind Casino is home to the Broken Arrow Bar & Grill, which offers everything from signature soups to homemade desserts. Enjoy meals made to order throughout the day, along with a small range of alcoholic beverages from the bar if that is how you like to roll.

History

The owners gained permission from the State of California to operate a gambling facility in 1998, and the Auberry casino was created not long afterward. The casino was forced to close due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the gambling floor reopened in June 2020.

Shopping

The venue has an on-site fuel station and general store. The store offers a good selection of daily essentials and sundries, as well as Native American tobacco products.

Location

The casino is a little out of the way, but many guests report it being worth the drive. The nearby mountains are stunning, and the venue is popular among locals and adventurous visitors alike.

Loyalty Program

The Mono Wind Casino CA offers the Winners Club rewards program. There are opportunities to boost the points you collect with daily events throughout the week, along with special Mono Wind Casino promotions and offers.

Accommodation

There is no official Mono Wind Casino hotel, but there is no shortage of quality accommodations within 20 miles of the venue. Options include the Pines Resort & Conference Center at Bass Lake, the WorldMark Resort Bass Lake, and the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Yosemite Park Area in Oakhurst.

Overall Review

The venue calls itself "The Friendliest Casino in the Valley", and prides itself on offering big entertainment without the lack of personality that can beset some of the bigger gambling hubs.

There is no doubt that this is a compact casino, but it still offers around 300 slots and the convenience of an on-site gas station, convenience store, and restaurant. The downside is the lack of table games for those who prefer this form of entertainment. Friendly staff and a fairly new rewards program aim to fill the void and make this a venue that people make the effort to visit.
