Casinos in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Minneapolis is the largest city in Minnesota, so you would expect it to host a significant number of casinos. With this in mind, it is surprising that the two tribal casinos and one racino you can find nearby are not in the heart of the city but in the outskirts and suburbs, in Prior Lake and Shakopee respectively.

Minneapolis, Minnesota casinos by the numbers
Mystic Lake Casino Hotel and Little Six Casino are both owned by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community. The first is massive and the second is a pretty decent size, with both open 24/7. There is also Canterbury Park - Racetrack and Card Casino. Like Mystic River, it has restaurants and a hotel, but the racing takes priority. The selection of card games is also pretty good.
