Theme and Graphics
Bison Battle is one of the few Push Gaming slots that has a more mainstream theme. While most games from this developer are a bit quirky (think Dinopolis and Jammin Jars), this slot is a bit more grounded in reality.
The game is set in valleys amongst deep canyons, with symbols and motifs that reflect Native America culture. Feathers surround the reels and there’s a lovely, calming soundtrack that gives the game a great atmosphere.
Bison Battle RTP and Variance
The Bison Battle RTP varies depending on where you play; it can be either 96.41% or 95.35%. We like that Push Gaming always displays the RTP of its games in the upper left-hand corner so you’re never left searching for it.
In terms of volatility, this game is highly volatile. It has a generous 50,000x top prize to match.
How to Win
There are 20 paylines in Push Gaming’s Bison Battle slot game. Landing wins requires three or more symbols on a line. The only exception is the eagle, which pays out for two-of-a-kind combos; it’s also the highest-paying symbol, awarding 50x for a five-of-a-kind win.
The golden bison is the wild symbol, which substitutes for all other symbols aside from the red, blue, and green bison.
The blue and green bison are the scatter symbols, which only land on the first and third reels. The red bison only appears on these reels, and they all work together to award the bonus features.
Free Spins and Bonuses
There are a few Bison Clash free spins features, triggered by different combinations of the bison symbols.
Triggered by the blue scatter landing when a red multiplier bison lands, the Ice Park feature grants three free spins. This is a hold & win style feature, similar to what you’ll encounter in games like Money Train 2 and Cash Truck.
The Green Valley feature occurs when the green bison and the red bison multiplier symbols land on the reels at the same time. This is a more traditional free spins round where golden bison wilds appear on the middle three reels and remain sticky for the rest of the bonus.
Bison Clash Feature
When the red bison with a multiplier and a red bison with a prize land on the reels at the same time, they’ll come together and clash. This means the prize will be multiplied for an instant payout.
Bison Battle Slot Review
It's pretty unusual to see such a "normal"-looking online slot from Push Gaming - but the developer has created an engaging and interesting slot. It has a combination of base game bonuses and free spins round that keep you entertained as you spin the reels.
Fun but Infrequent Base Game Features
The red bison symbols can award great wins when they collide, but it's quite rare for the multiplier symbol and the prize symbol to ever collide. Still, the anticipation of them coming together keeps you interested - but it can get frustrated after they miss each other a few times in a row.
Green Valley Vs Ice Park Feature
It's always great to see an online slot with two unique bonus rounds, especially when one is a free spins round and the other is a hold & win bonus. Even though the Ice Park is considered the more potentially profitable features, we found that the Green Valley bonus paid out more often and Ice Park delivered plenty of dead spins.
Is Bison Valley Worth a Spin?
Push Gaming's Bison Valley demo is definitely worth a few spins. It's interesting to see this developer create a slot with a more grounded theme, and the combination of features delivers an engaging experience.
