Arthur and the Round Table uses a 5x3 grid with 20 paylines. Theme, Graphics and Soundtrack

The game does a good job of visualising Camelot and its fictional West Country setting, but the symbols themselves are a little lacking in animation surprises. The soundtrack is adequate in conjuring up a sense of the Arthurian world, but again, there’s nothing especially original about it.

How to Play Arthur and the Round Table

1. Click the Spin button or the Space Bar to spin the reels.
2. Click on the pile of coins to reveal the + and - buttons to adjust the bet settings.
3. If you prefer automated play, then click the Autoplay button to activate continuous gameplay with the selected bet per line. Click Autoplay again to exit autoplay mode at any time.

Arthur and the Round Table Bonus Features

Wild

The Wild symbol substitutes for all other symbols except the Sword scatter symbol unless the Wild has been added by Merlin.

Merlin Wilds

In any base game it is possible that Merlin will appear and add Wild symbols to the reels. The Wild symbol replaces the random symbols, including the Sword scatter symbol. If three Sword scatter symbols are replaced in this way, they will trigger the Arthur’s Round Table feature.

Scatter Symbols

The Sword (Excalibur) is a Scatter and appears only in the base game. If you land a Sword scatter in reels 1, 3 and 5, you will trigger the Arthur’s Round Table Feature. The Bronze, Silver and Gold armor symbols are Scatters which appear only in Free Spins.

Arthur’s Round Table Feature

This can get a player the Excalibur Sword or a number of Free Spins.

Free Spins

During Free Spins collect three pieces of armor - the Bronze, Silver or Gold scatters. The Bronze lands on reels 1, 3 and 5. The Silver lands on reels 3 and 5. The Gold lands only on reel 5.

When Bronze, Silver or Gold scatters land on the reels they drop down to their meter and a Wild symbol is left in their place. The Bonus Spins are added to the Free Spins meter.

Bronze = 3 bonus spins with 3x multiplier. Active for 3 spins.
Silver = 5 bonus spins with 5x multiplier. Active for 5 spins.
Gold = 10 bonus spins with 10x multiplier. Active for 10 spins.

When Bonus Spins are awarded they start on the next spin, and the multiplier is applied to any winning combination while the bonus spins are active.

When two or more different modifiers are active their associated multipliers are multiplied together.

Silver and Gold = 50x
Bronze, Silver and Gold = 150x

Excalibur Sword Feature

Pulling Excalibur from the stone can win: cash prizes up to 5000x the total bet; three bonus spins with 3x multiplier; five bonus spins with 5x multiplier; ten bonus spins with 10x multiplier.

After three attempts the sword is removed and a prize is awarded. You then have the option to Gamble or Collect. Gamble can be selected seven times - collect only once.

Arthur and the Round Table Review: Our Verdict

Arthur and the Round Table is a game where all the interest is in the game play - particularly the special features - rather than the graphics. For all the visual potential in the story of Camelot, the makers have not done a great deal with it.
