History
The company’s origins can be traced back to the Netherlands in 1873. It maintains strong links with the country, even though it has been an American enterprise since 1989 under the ownership of Carnival Corporation & plc, which has its headquarters in Seattle.

The Rotterdam accommodates 2,668 guests across 12 decks. In addition to the casino, there is a spa, a kids’ club, retail outlets, a cinema, entertainment venues including the Rolling Stone Rock Room, and four restaurants.
There is an internet center, sports facilities for games such as tennis, volleyball and basketball, and a laundry service. The ship also runs special programs and wedding packages.
Dining
The main dining room offers five-course meals under the direction of world-renowned chefs, professional waiting staff and sommeliers in a grand, elegant setting. The Pinnacle Grill serves steaks and deliciously elaborate seafood dishes.
The Lido Restaurant, which is nestled between the pool and the ocean, has an all-day menu with lavish breakfasts, lunches and made-to-order entrees for dinner. The Terrace Grill is ideal for cruises in sunny climes; what’s more, it has an insulated sliding glass roof to keep you comfortable while you enjoy burgers, hot dogs or tacos.
Shopping
There is a range of duty-free shopping in high-class shops such as The Vault, Effy Jewelry, and the Wonder Photo Shop.
