Fans of high-energy slots will love Magic Target, a five-reel slot from teh developers at Wazdan. The theme is a skilful blend of nostalgia and you will recognise many of the symbols from the traditional one-armed bandit fruit machines and action in the form of bombs and cannonballs.

Unlike some slots, the effort and thought that has gone into designing this one is easy to see and sure to be much appreciated by players. We love magic slots that are generous enough with base game wins and then up the ante to offer a double or quit bonus after every single win - not to mention a cannonball that will blast the fruit to deliver some truly mega wins.

The various opportunities to win are amazing; in fact, everything about Magic Target is a treat, from the upbeat background music and exciting sound effects to the visuals that really pop.

Magic Target slot graphics

There are plenty of visual delights to feast your eyes on in this exciting slot, including an atmospheric red sky dotted with stars that you will see moving slowly in the background. Meanwhile, the reels have a stark black background, which is the perfect way to show off the very colourful symbols.

There are no incidental icons in this slot; instead, every single one plays a key part in boosting your winnings. Look out for tasty fruit, such as watermelon, plums, pears and grapes, and the non-fruit symbols, which are a joker/jester, a golden bell, a red lucky seven, a multi-coloured crown, a cannon and a cannonball.

How to play Magic Target slots

The first time you play a slot means getting familiar with the control panel, which Magic Target makes easy enough. The controls are lined up neatly along the bottom of the reels and feature buttons displaying the lines played (max 20), the coin value for the spin, the total wager, the larger-sized spin button, the max bet button, your current balance (100 coins start you off in demo mode), and lastly you have the box you will be keen to see displaying numbers - this is where your winnings after each spin are displayed. Below the main control panel are some smaller icons that lead to the sound control, the paylines, the payout display and the general help section.

Once you are set up, it is worth checking out what the special symbols do; for example, the joker is the wild card and pays out when more than two of his images appear on active paylines. The joker also subs for all other symbols except for the cannon and cannonball.

You also have a scatter symbol in the form of the cannonball, which does double duty as both the scatter and the source of free spins. To enjoy these, you need to get between three and five scatters. Watch out for the cannon while playing, as anything you win in this spin will be doubled if it appears in the middle reels.

Magic Target Slot

Magic Target payout ratio

The RTP (return to player) figure for this slot is 96.63 per cent, which means for every £100 wagered, you can expect to win back £96.63 on average. This statistic is accurate because independent auditors test it regularly, but do remember it is based on playing over quite a lengthy period of time rather than just a few spins.

Magic Target volatility

This slot is listed as being medium variance. This basically means that if you play regularly, you can expect the payouts to be steady and not too low.

How to win at Magic Target slots

If your budget runs to it, betting on all paylines is always a good way to boost your chances of a win. It is not difficult to win in this slot; however, if you want more, there is the double up bonus option you could take advantage of.

Magic Target slot bonus features

We love bonuses for slots. Leaving aside the wild and scatter rewards, there are two great bonuses to take advantage of. The first is the cannonball, which will blast the fruit like crazy and lead to huge wins if activated.

The second bonus feature is the gamble option. Experienced slot players will be familiar with this fun 50-50 offer, which appears after every win. Players have the chance to accept or reject the invitation to wager the cash or tokens they won in the round. It is a straight-up choice between predicting whether red or black will be the colour of the next card to be turned. Get it right and you double the winnings and have the chance to gamble again or to quit and add the cash won to your pot. If you are not sure what to do, there is always the third option, which involves saving half the winnings and wagering the other half.

Magic Target slots top win

Looking at the numbers on paper, it could easily look like this slot is a pretty miserly payer; after all, the joker tops the major slots payout table at 50 for five matches. This is not a huge number but the wins are not in short supply, so it evens out. The other icons include the crown, which pays 10 for five matches, and the bell, which only manages five.

The red seven and some of the fruit pay around two coins each, while the pear, plum and strawberry icons pay between 0.05 and 1 for three to five matches.

Magic Target slots on mobile - Android, iPhones and tablets

There are times when you want to play slots on a mobile and tablet without losing out, which is not an issue with this game. Magic Target is fully optimised for both iOS and Android devices.

We gave this Magic Target slot a few spins and here is what happened …

Magic Target has to be one of the most exciting slots we have played for a good while. The amazing colours and excellent music and sound effects contribute to a heightened level of engagement that will amaze and surprise you. For the sake of research, we just had to have a few spins, so we chose to play 20 times in demo mode at 0.20 per spin. We then went to the higher end of the scale with another 20 spins at an edgy 10.00 per go.

Having noticed the switch button that moves between a tortoise and a hare, we incorporated this into the trial, despite having no real idea what it would do. We also decided that the option to gamble winnings on a 50-50 black/red turn of the card would be taken up, assuming that the coins won would be pretty minuscule.

Here are the results:

Round 1 - 0.20 a spin in tortoise mode

We were 0.95 up on the first spin, took the double or quit challenge and won, which was a fabulous start; however, things were just getting started. The second spin was heralded as a super mega big win totalling 18.25. We won something small on six out of the next seven turns, gambled on three of them and lost each time! The wins became less frequent in the second half of play but we still made a healthy ‘profit’ thanks to the mega win.

Round 2 - 10.00 a spin in hare mode

Well, we certainly discovered what the hare is there for. In this mode, the reels span so fast we were braced to duck in case they came flying out of the screen - and the wins came at us just as fast! The very first spin covered the wager; despite the plan, we did risk doubling it and were successful. The second spin netted 20 coins and the fourth got us 10 more. You may be waiting for some comment about our luck running out now, but it was the opposite. We got another of those super mega wins, this time a whopping 167.50! We didn’t risk gambling it, as attractive as doubling up seemed. We continued to win every two or three spins and ended the trial run well into profit.

Free Wazdan Slots are on a similar theme and can be easily found in online casinos. These include:

Fruits Go Bananas

This is a wacky slot about fruits that go on a cruise together. This is a loud and proud online slot with the usual Wazdan features (50-50 bonus gamble etc) and the option to choose your own preference of volatility level.

Sizzling 777 Deluxe

This slot uses modern depictions of the typical fruit machine icons, adds the gamble feature and wraps the whole package in super-vivid glittery colours. Some reviewers advise that having some sunglasses to hand is a good idea!

Back to the 70's

This is an absolute genius of a slot from Wazdan. It has amazing images that depict the decade perfectly, music you can’t help wanting to dance to, and a fun twist in the usual gamble feature. This is a slot that could easily entertain you for many hours.

Cherry Bomb

More fruit takes centre stage in this fun slot from Booming Games, but look closely and you will see they are not the standard fruit-themed slot images. Here you will also see bananas, kiwis, pears and apples.

Magic Target slot review

There are plenty of online slots that feature the nostalgic one-armed bandit symbols, but there aren’t many that have taken a much-loved and very familiar theme and added something extra to make it one of the most exciting and rewarding slots around. Whether you are an experienced online slot fan looking for a new game or completely new to the scene and looking for a game that is easy to set up and play, you won’t be disappointed.

About Wazdan

Magic Target FAQ

Can I play Magic Target slots for free?

Yes, this popular slot is widely available at online casinos in both demo and real mode, with the former always free.

Does Magic Target slot have free spins?

There are free spins in this game, which are activated when you land at least three scatters.

Can I win real money while playing Magic Target slots?

This depends on how you are playing. If it is in free (practice/demo mode), there is no real money to win, which is fair enough as you don’t have to register anywhere to play this way or to make a cash deposit. Should you choose to register and play with an online casino, you can bet and win real cash.

Do you have any Magic Target tips or cheats?

Don’t overuse the hare mode, as the regular speed reels are such fun to play and you could miss a lot by speeding them up. It is a nice option for a change of pace now and then, but this is a game very worth taking your time with.

Can I play Magic Target slots with no deposit?

You certainly can, depending on where and how you play. If you want to play for fun, there is no need to deposit cash to do this; however, this means there is no real money to win either. Sometimes an online casino will run a special welcome offer for new players that includes either a cash bonus or free spins on any game you choose without needing to deposit any cash first; however, terms and conditions will apply.

Can I download Magic Target slots?

You don’t need to, as this slot is just as amazing on a mobile device as it is on a big screen.
