Part of the reason that there are so many, is that the gameplay is split over the three grids, and each has to have a wild. The volcano wild is pretty spectacular - if two or three volcanos appear, they erupt and spew lava over the reels, seeding wild cards across all three of the playing grids. If you get three of the special wilds - mammoth, sea creature or T Rex, they turn into multiplier wilds. The mammoth turns up on grid one and gives you twice your earnings. The sea creature inhabits grid two and pays you three times your bet. The T Rex lives on grid three and pays out five times your bet.

Bonus scatters

These activate the Bonus Pick screen. Here you need to pick a rune stone (that’s a stone with an inscription on it in the original story). Depending on what you pick you can get the fossil hunt, coin win, mushroom forest or the safari free spin bonus. The free spin bonus is the best option, with a prize of 10 free spins. The mushroom forest involves picking mushrooms to get a multiplier or extra picks.

The Fossil Hunt bonus involves collecting shovels. (How you’d get a fossil out of a rock with a shovel?). You get three spins and need to collect shovels.
