This week, Evolution Gaming signed a deal with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation to provide Playnow.com with live casino software. Over the course of five years, the software developer will create games for the Canadian provincial gambling monopoly. Initially, 10 live table games will be offered for mobile and desktop devices, including blackjack, baccarat and roulette – with a view to expand over the five-year period.
Live casino games allow operators to broadcast table games and dealers live directly to players’ PCs and mobile devices. They can wager on the outcome in real-time, emulating the exciting experience that they would have by playing in a brick-and-mortar casino.
The expansion of the studio will not only serve to benefit the BCLC. Evolution Gaming Group also has plans for the studio to provide gaming products to other online gambling monopolies across Canada, such as Quebec’s Espace Jeux, The Maritimes’ ALC, Manitoba’s PlayNow and Ontario’s PlayOLG.
