The Look

What we really appreciate is that there are not J – A poker symbols, so every space is occupied by a 3D cartoon character, adding interest to the game’s design.

Another thing that we liked about the design to Reef Run is its music. The music is quite calming and it is completely in the online casino market where most games have quite boisterous music and sound effects.

Players can earn free spins if three to five Free Spins symbols appear on the reels. Three symbols awards 10, four symbols awards 20 and five symbols awards 60. During the free spins game, the player can earn two extra free spins when two Free Spins symbols appear on the same payline.

Levelling Up

During the free spins game, there is a level up feature. When you win on a particular character, its multiplier increases from 1x to 5x. If you win using that character, their multiplier increases a second time to 10x. Finally, they can level up to 20x.

We’ve seen levelling up features in online slots games before – but never like this. In Reef Run slots, levelling up to the maximum is actually an obtainable goal and it is possible for players to cash in on huge wins from the bonus round.

Winning Potential

In 100 spins, we cashed in on many small wins. Every two to three spins, we earn prize worth between 5 and 25 credits. Occasionally, we earned a prize worth 50 or 100 credits.

The biggest prizes are worth 1000 and 500 credits, but we didn’t cash in on those. We never triggered the free spins game, but we came close on two occasions.

Our Verdict

The winning potential may not be great, but Reef Runs is game that offers up more than the chance to win cash.

It is quite an experience, and we’d recommend it for players who want to see something new in the online slots market. If you’re all about the prizes, you may want to give it a miss.
