Hollywood Royalty to Collaborate on Corporate Melco Crown Video

Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Robert De Niro are all working on casino film – but it won’t be the next movie in the Ocean’s 11 series.

It’s actually a corporate film for Melco Crown’s new casino in Macau. It will be the most expensive corporate film ever, as we can’t imagine that getting all of these stars on board would have been a cheap endeavour.

The Concept

Few details have been released about the actual content of the movie. All we really know is that the film will be shown once the new Studio City casino resort is open for business next year.

Studio City is Melco Crown’s newest venue in Macau, and it will feature a cinematic theme. Like all casino resorts in Macau, Studio City will cater to prestigious clientele.

There will be 500 table games, 1500 slots, a five-star hotel, a mall and an entertainment studio. The venue will cost $2.9 billion to build, so investing millions in a corporate movie seems like a drop in the bucket.

Scripting and Directing

The film will be directed by Martin Scorsese, which is quite apt. His classic film, Casino, has gone down in history as one of the greatest movies ever made.

Scripting the film will be Terrence Winter, who wrote the script for The Wolf of Wall Street, which was directed by Scorsese and starred Leonardo DiCaprio. He is also the creator of Boardwalk Empire, a critically-acclaimed television series.

Acting

Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio will be ending their performing talents to the film. We’re not entirely sure what role Brad Pitt has in the production.

While you would expect him to be acting in the film, we’ve heard that he is involved in the project through his production company Plan B.

Making History

Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro are regarded as two of the best actors in history. They have both worked with Martin Scorsese on separate occasions, but the trio of unmatchable talent have never worked together before. This will be the first time that they will all be working on a project together.

Unfortunately for film buffs, it won’t be for a feature-length film. We wonder if we’ll ever get to see this exciting new short film. It will premiere at the new Studio City casino next year, so there are no guarantees that it will be ever be shown any other venues. We hope that it will be at least leaked online.
