Kash Karnival is a new social casino from Royal Wins. The app aims to bring players a new and exciting social gambling experience – but how successful is the developer in this venture?
The Premise
Royal Wins seems to want to take social gaming one step further than most other apps in this market. The game starts up with a video that teeters the line between lame and ‘so bad that it’s good’, in which two people are playing two different games: one is playing a social game like Candy Crush and the other is playing at an online casino.
They both want what the other one has, and the Kash Karnival Ringleader, Mogikan, appears out of nowhere to tell them that they can have it all.
The Lobby
The Kash Karnival Lobby is actually one of the better-looking social casino lobbies that we’ve seen. Rather than featuring a few bright graphics and listing the games available, Kash Karnival’s lobby is interactive and dynamic. Players can click on various character to interact with them to learn more about the platform and possibly win additional prizes.
A lot of thought and design has gone into the lobby, and we certainly appreciate the attention to detail.
There are two main areas in Kash Karnival:
Skill District
The Skill District has been designed for players who enjoy skill-based games, like Bejeweled and Candy Crush. The first game that players can experience is a title called Moji Mania.
In this game, the player operates a hovercraft that sits atop a platform surrounded by fire. The goal is to knock the computer player off of the platform to win a multiple of their initial wager.
Adventure Casino
Adventure Casino is an area for players to experience their favourite social casino games. The first game that is made available is an online slots title, but players will be able to unlock blackjack and roulette games as they level up.
Game Quality
While the overall design of the casino is fantastic, we’re not blown away by the quality of the games. In Moji Mania, we appreciate the 3D graphics but they are quite choppy and the voice acting is not at all impressive.
In the slots game, there is really nothing differentiating its graphics from slots games that you would find at any other online casino.
Our Verdict
Kash Karnival is still quite new, so we’ll give it some time. There will certainly be the addition to new games and updates, so we hope to see some improvements in the future.
Until then, we feel that the app is still fun and unique but it’s just not quite there yet.
