This week, NetEntertainment has released its new Mega Fortune Dreams online slots game. It an exciting addition to the world of progressive slots, and jackpot hunters are eager to give this game a spin.
So, we’ve played both games to let you know if Mega Fortune Dreams is really that much of an improvement over its predecessor.
The Themes
Both games feature the theme of luxury but they approach it from different angles. In Mega Fortune, it is more a glitz and glamour nightlife theme. The symbols include money clips, limos, yachts and fine liquor.
In Mega Fortune Dreams, things are a bit more subdued as it seems like the game takes place on a millionaire’s own priate island. Symbols include champagne, palm trees, watches and diamond rings.
The Graphics
As you would expect from 2014 online slots release, Mega Fortune Dreams has very polished graphics. The graphics are a bit more realistic and advanced while animations are just a bit smoother than they are in the original Mega Fortune.
The difference isn’t major, but you do feel like you’re playing a more modern game when you spin the reels on Mega Fortune Dreams.
The Soundtrack
Obviously, this feature won’t be the determining factor behind which game you prefer, but it is interesting to note the differences. In the original Mega Fortune, the soundtrack is a bit funkier and more high-energy. In Mega Fortune Dreams, the music is more laid back and ambient.
The Features
In the original Mega Fortune, the only extra on-screen features are wild and scatter symbols. Today, these are standard features in pretty much all online slots, so it isn’t particularly exciting.
In the new Mega Fortune Dreams game, there is a re-spins feature. This is triggered when the wild symbol appears thre e times on the same payline. When this happens, the player receives one re-spin while the wilds stay in place. The re-spin offers up a higher chance of hitting a generous winning combination.
The Jackpot Bonus
In Mega Fortune and Mega Fortune Dreams, the Jackpot Bonus game is very similar. It consists of a prize wheel that offers up three progressive jackpot prizes.
As the player spins each wheel, they have the chance of landing on a prize amount, jackpot or arrow. The arrow takes them to a smaller wheel with bigger prizes, a larger jackpot and ever closer to the Mega Jackpot.
Our Conclusion
The two games aren’t very different, aside from Mega Fortune just being a little less polished. If they were films, Mega Fortune Dreams would be a shot-for-shot remake of the original.
