Red Tiger Gaming is one of the biggest names in the online gambling world, and over the last year or so we’ve seen them following the likes of Big Time Gaming, using their licensed Megaways mechanic in many of their slots. They’ve also developed their own variety of “Megaways”-like slots, called Power Reels. Their latest release, however - Robin Hood’s Wild Forest - takes things back to basics, following a classic 10-line format.
This exciting new release is playable from between 0.10 and 100 coins per spin, and is built around a 5-reel, 3-row format. As with all of Red Tiger Gaming’s slots, impressive graphics and visuals greet you from the moment you open up the game, and it’s also fully mobile-optimized so it can be played across multiple devices, including mobile phones and tablets.
An Exciting Selection Of Bonus Modifiers
Surprisingly, Robin Hood’s Wild Forest does not offer a conventional free-spins bonus - something we’ve become accustomed to seeing in virtually all the software provider’s games. However, there are three exciting “bonus modifiers” which are all essentially mini-features. These are all triggered by landing the relevant wild symbol in view.
First up is the Maid Marian wild. When she lands in view a random number of wild symbols are added to the reels. Next up is Robin Hood. When he lands in view, he will then proceed to lock all of the wild symbols on the screen in place - one symbol is also randomly selected. A free re-spin is then awarded, and landing any more wilds or locked symbols will lock them in place too, awarding yet another re-spin. This continues for as long as wilds or the chosen symbols land.
The final feature is Little John. When he lands in view, he’ll destroy all of the low-value symbols on the screen, allowing for new high-value symbols to come and drop to take their place.
A Change Of Direction For Red Tiger Gaming?
Last year, Red Tiger Gaming was acquired by NetEnt. Many players and online gambling analysts wondered whether this would affect the content put out by the developer, and Robin Hood’s Wild Forest could be a sign that times are changing. The iGaming market has been flooded with hugely volatile slots over the past couple of years, fuelled by the popularity of Megaways games, although Red Tiger Gaming look as though they could be trying to tempt back conventional players with this 10-line release.
